Cheyenne Page
Even though we now live in Denver, are only 45 mins away, and have been there several times, we really haven’t done much in Cheyenne. We have gone to the Wyoming State Capitol.

It is quite interesting. The architecture of the building is renaissance revival, reminiscent of the National Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. Inside the Capitol, besides the Senate and House of Representatives Chambers, they have a mounted Bison specimen on display in one the hallways. They also have a statue of Chief Washakie. "Washakie stood for bravery and courage, he was a peacemaker. a strong leader and above all a wise and generous man." -- John Washakie, Chairman, Eastern Shoshone Business Council. They also had a piece of the Twin Towers on display. I am not sure if it was permanent or a traveling exhibit, but it was interesting to see and touch.

Like I said, we haven’t done too much in Cheyenne, but there are a few interesting things to see and do, as well as yearly events they hold. Enjoy looking through these pages:
