According to Wikipedia, York was the first Capital of the United States. However, many historians generally consider it to be the fourth capital, after Philadelphia, Baltimore and Lancaster. The claim arises from the assertion that the Articles of Confederation was the first legal document to refer to the colonies as "the United States of America" The argument depends on whether the Declaration of Independence, which also uses the term, would be considered a true legal document of the United States, being drafted under and in opposition to British rule.
We were in Baltimore to watch some baseball games and decided to check out the Harley Davidson Vehicle Operations Plant. This was really exciting and interesting. Their facility covers more than 230 acres and has over 1.5 million square feet under roof. This is the plant where they put all pieces together and actually make the bikes. It is so cool. I never really liked bikes that much one way or the other, but after visiting a couple of the plants, I wouldn’t want anything besides a Harley. Of course we set on some of their bikes and took some pictures. If you are at all interested in bikes, it is a nice plant and well worth seeing.
